Don - on Hokku Group

"Since we know that classical music is timeless and everlasting, it is precisely the eternal verities inherent in classical music that remain a spiritual beacon for people all over the world," Van Cliburn
This is how I perceive hokku. On its own and of itself, it is timeless. It is not some boring-old-rehash of the same thing that we're writing today but rather a thing itself that is "timeless and everlasting".

(I still cannot comment or click like; and Facebook has not responded to my emails and letters. There is nothing I did wrong; no worry. But they just aren't interested in helping me get the problem corrected. I guess wealth and success doesn't need customers anymore?)
  • Susan Diridoni bummer about fb. but your patience is inspiring!
  • Dalvir Gill Thanks for sharing this angle Master Don Baird. But it's just ridiculous what's going on with FB. It's really helpful when I got to read comments by both you, from two different angles, even though coming to the same eye of the bull. ( Like once you yourself said that you and Master Wilson aren't twins ). Is creating a new Id ( something like Don Baird-II as many people have those too ) an option? ( you don't need to use it for any other purpose just to school us.
  • Robert D. Wilson I'll be glad when you are back, Don. And yes, hokku is like classical music: complex, layered, the product of work, study, and experience: a beacon, hokku, showing us the way through the morass of banality to heaven's river where a poem is more than an assemblage of this and that laid out in three lines.
